I have covered nearly all the bases of game development in my career, working as an artist, designer, musician, producer and business development director. I am primarily a designer however and like nothing more than getting inside a game to get the mechanics, controls and level design just right. I can design a game on any platform- playing to its strengths to produce the best possible gameplay experience. The challenge of a limited platform excites me as a designer because I have to deliver a pure experience with the focus only on gameplay. My current position allows me to use all of my skills designing and producing lots of varied projects in a challenging and exciting environment.
Below are the highlights of my career so far....
These games were designed by me and either developed in the office or using external developers.
I was responsible for producing all of these projects:
Flat-Pack Frankie: A simple Falling Block puzzle game, using body parts to build monsters.
Avoid: A challenging and original game where the player guides a cute robot to avoid electric letters.
Swinging Ball: A physics based puzzle platformer with built in level designer.
Cow Bandits: A retro style game updated from mobile.
Phantom Mansion-Spectrum of Souls: A popular mobile game updated to Flash, PM was a series of 8 games released once a month. With nearly 200 levels in total, it has developed into a very successful franchise with another series on its way.
Loved Up: A cute game designed with girls in mind, Loved Up was released on Valentines day and has been a big hit, with a sequel planned.
Split 'em Up: A retro styled shooter with a modern twist. Control two ships at once with an innovative control system. Link up and combine firepower or split up and shoot from both sides.
These games were produced by me. They were designed by the developer, although in all of them I was involved in the design process at the end, putting on finishing touches to get them ready for release.
